That's funny we saw lots of Confederate flags this weekend too, hauled our cookies all the way to Virginia (a 5 hour drive that turned out to be more like 10 hours with traffic and accidents) for a wedding. Lots of civil war photos and General etc, while we checked in at the Holiday Inn. Then when we went for some late night grub at IHOP the cahier woman mistook John's comment about how dark it was around here (he meant no street lights) she agreed and rolled her eyes...oh yeah is it like that in NY too? Eek..we couldn't get back to NYC fast enough.
