Homeland Security is probably just chasing it's tail, but apparently they seriously believe there's a threat to the Capitol Building. For a couple of months now drivers going through the 4 block or so area surrounding the building have had to stop at checkpoints. It all started after the supposed Al-Queida computer was found with images of the World Bank and so on.
The ridiculous thing about all the precautions is that if an operation is really being prepared by terrorists, they will just pick another, easier, place to attack......maybe they issued credible "chatter" to get a concentration of attention away from their preferred target.
I hope that the handling of these warnings aren't all diversionary tactics in Bush's re-"election" campaign...no, they couldn't possibly be, not in a billion years..................
