twee! Yeah-- put one of those lab brains in some of those skulls and make a Chucky vs. Leprechaun movie!!!Just finished Gorgon--it was a very good read!!
Public library m'man!!! Otherwise I think the paperback is imminent. JLO also got some on american secret societies, hist. of cocaine, and how the queen went from the weakest to the most powerful chess piece which I want to check out. In the mood to read lately. Also going to start Jonathan Strange.
In about six weeks the semester ends and I'll be on a reading frenzy. Now I read primarily the NEWS and student essays and French homework.
American secret societies. Sounds good....bah! I have tons of shit. I just joined The Folio Society and got all these excellent volumes for $19.95. Only catch is you gotta buy four more to get out, and they're $50 each. They're not like other book clubs though, with the cheap ass cardboard bindings and already yellowed paper. These are NICE, with NICE illustrations.
Glad you're interested--one review kind of made fun of his awkward attempts at personal writing but that's what I really liked about it. He also said it wasn't very scientific but maybe he's an astrobiologist or something--I thought it had the best of both in it. What the fuck do I know, I really enjoyed this:
Know nothing of Doom. Last game I tried to play was Zork--with Julio, in like 1985. Oh, I did spend about three hours playing the first Myst once when my friend Buf bought it.
FLARK Myst--worst game evah!!!! A game for non gamerz--agggghh. LoB hates it when I say it but I call 'em as I see 'em.
You never played SOD?? Oh, Man! I grew up with vid games but I have a soft spot for DOOM. Once upon a time in the computer design lab at MICA I turned on the PC and it asked me a question: Do you want to play DOOM y/n?--and that was it. Had no idea where it came from, what it was about but I powned that shit for the semester. good times.
Do you remember when Boreders had CDROMs and games? I used to play all day and Sahrah Hill would ream me out man. The book is good anyway because the programmers are so weird and when they become millionaires they get weirder. It's great.
Halo 2 comes out Nov. 9th and perhaps you would like to venture over to check it out???? R. Snyder can be a sore loser in deathmatches "sometimes"!!! I guess they';re my "sports"
1. Rampart 2. Virtua Fighter 3 3. Halo 4. Twisted Metal 2 5. Legend of Zelda: the Ocarina of Time 6. Shenmue 2 7. Spear Of Destiny/DOOM 8. Donkey Kong 64
I have the feeling that Halo 2 will pown all of those though. I'm awaiting it like a lover.

I agree about Myst--thought it was the stupidest fucking thing. Best game ever? eXistenZ
my best game list
1. Rampart
2. Virtua Fighter 3
3. Halo
4. Twisted Metal 2
5. Legend of Zelda: the Ocarina of Time
6. Shenmue 2
7. Spear Of Destiny/DOOM
8. Donkey Kong 64

My list would be:
Sky Shark
Stargate
Gattica
Gauntlet
Joust
Star Trek game with the Asteroids-like graphics
Asia Carrera's Virtual Fuck IV
and that's all. I don't remember many others.
I DO remember the CD-ROMS at Borders; if it weren't for that section we could've ditched Kenny Rogers much earlier.
Sky Shark
Stargate
Gattica
Holy shiot I do not know these!!!! maybe if I saw them
Joust--hell yeah!!
Gauntl;et--Wizard needs food, BADLY!
What about the cartoon one
aw shit had to work for a while and lost the flow.
Dragon's Lair.
Stargate=Defender rip-off with better action/graphics
Skyshark=WW2 airplane game
Gattica=a more advanced take on the Space Invaders concept
Valkyrie shot the Food!
Never got into Dragon's Lair. Didn't like the way the action stopped and restarted whenever you made a decision.
