I was sitting out on the stoop with Frog and my nextdoor neighbor when a student walked past us on Whitelock. This was the student who had a knife in class and who got put out of school on long-term suspension for freaking out last week (pictured above is some of her nail polish handiwork--sorry it's cut off but I was using my laptop to take the picture). She stopped and started giving somebody hell on the street corner before I realized who she was. Then she waved at me, I asked how she was doing, and she said "Fine."
The last thing I need is for students to know where I live.
I took today off and re-read Romeo and Juliet and Hamlet. I also brushed up on appositives, gerund phrases, and all that other jazz.
