I just informed the English Department I won't be teaching for them in the Spring. Indescribable joy, on top of the rest of the joy today.
Oh, last night we watched
Call it a roller coaster you'll only ride once; a guilty pleasure, certainly, but a pleasure nonetheless. Matt Damon as a tough guy? Surprisingly, yes.

One more and then back to the delinquent list.
The guy from aintitcool was recommending this too so I will check it out--I was thinking about it! At least Damon is the least infuriating spawn from Good Dick Hunting. I wish Robin Williams had choked Ben Assfleck instead of Damon. Stupid boat painting.
I'd seen the first for some reason--The Bourne Identity--and it was OK. This was better, but not as good as DePalma's Mission Impossible, which was far superior to MI2 by what'shisface the Hong Kong dude (John Woo).
Interesting article in the Post Sunday about how Hong Kong and China are producing glamorous stars--iconic screen goddesses--at a time when Hollywood starlets are simply slummy mortals. Reminded me of a scene from Chinese Box where Gong Li is mimicking Marlene Dietrech on a TV screen, copying her gestures precisely. Wong Kar Wei and Zhang Ymou had the lion's share of responsibility for the babification of Asian cinema in the piece.
2054!
