At last! The new principal at Booker T. announced today that we're getting metal detectors. No more knives or guns. The kids will have to start wearing shoe bombs.
I'm actually a bit worried because many kids bring knives and guns to protect themselves on the way to and from school. Now they'll be defenseless out there. My mentor proposed the idea of a weapon check room where we take knives and guns and give out numbered tickets each day, returning the armaments to kids when they leave.
You should give me some bullet dodging tips. I'm 90% sure I'm gonna intern for a Baltimore judge who conducts felony trials from the end of May to August 1.

I'm a little surprised that you didn't already have metal detectors! I thought they were de rigueur for all public schools these days.
Yeah, me too.
I guess semtex-sniffing dogs are next.
