I'll betcha...

The Earl of Pembroke emailed me a couple weeks back that there was something fishy about the entire fishiness of the CBS Memogate thang. I agreed, and had been thinking along those lines myself. Rove has a history of releasing a lot of truth with a tiny lie in the middle in order to discredit the truth part--and the fact that the White House released the CBS docs to reporters the day CBS aired its segment--just a bit strange, no?

Now I see that 60 Minutes has decided not to air its report on the faulty Administration reasoning that led up to the war--until after the election. Is Rather conspiring with his good buddy and business partner Don Rumsfeld?

You would think, especially after Saddam's capture, that Rumsfeld could pack it in, go out on top and settle down in that ranch in Taos, N.M., that he co-owns with, among others, Dan Rather, TIME reports.

The best proof of fishiness: the FACT that Bush NEVER SIGNED UP FOR AIR FORCE RESERVE SERVICE AT A BOSTON AREA RESERVE UNIT (as required by the contract he signed with the Air Force) WHILE ATTENDING HARVARD BUSINESS SCHOOL (reported by the Boston Globe the same week the CBS memo story broke) RESULTING IN THE RETRACTION OF A 1999 STATEMENT BY BUSH'S SPOKESMAN (now Press Secretary) THAT BUSH SERVED IN THE BOSTON AREA has been swallowed up by all of the Fox/GOP hoopla about Rather's faked documents - UNDER "NORMAL" CIRCUMSTANCES THE GLOBE STORY COULD HAVE SEVERELY HARMED BUSH, SINCE KERRY HAD BEEN UNDER BOGUS ATTACK BY THE SWIFTBOAT LOSERS, AND HERE WAS PROOF POSITIVE THAT BUSH THROUGH HIS 1999 SPOKESMAN LIED ABOUT HIS VIETNAM ERA SERVICE!! I MEAN, WHO'S THE REAL LIAR HERE?!!?? Do any of the poor misguided Bush supporters we know KNOW THE FACTS related by the Globe story? If not, doesn't that prove the incompetence or complicity of the major media?

I linked that article when I waw it--I wonder if it's still available. So far as I know, the Times and the Post mentioned McLellan's lame "I must have mispoke" line in their coverage of the CBS debacle, but they certainly didn't focus on it.

Herr Roverer strikes again:

According to [former Ambassador Joseph]Wilson, and to Retired U.S. Navy Lt. Commander Al Martin (www.almartinraw.com), Rove's grandfather was Karl Heinz Roverer, the Gauleiter of Oldenburg. Roverer was Reich-Statthalter---Nazi State Party Chairman---for his region. He was also a partner and senior engineer in the Roverer Sud-Deutche Ingenieurburo A. G. engineering firm, which built the Birkenau death camp, at which tens of thousands of Jews, Gypsies, dissidents and other were slaughtered en masse.Want more? Go here!
