Spent a weekend in NYC with the family. Though it was hot and sticky in the city, it was notably cooler than Baltimore has been, and I had a great time pigging out and seeing some sites. I also revisited some old friends at the Met.
Man, that room--the Oceanic/Pacific Islanders stuff--is one of my favorite galleries in any museum anywhere. I adore it. Those tall skinny totem dudes with the weird DNA-looking manifestations growing out of their stomachs are AMAZING.
