The Byrd

I hope C-SPAN broadcasts this Robert Byrd speech; watching him is one of my great pleasures. Who else evokes (or can even remember) the Senate in its heyday?

    I only hope that he waits for the next Pres (Dem) before dying in office

    I don't know if he'll make it through this term. And if he retires or dies, the seat will almost certainly go red.
