I bought her as a Mother's Day present (for my mother) when I was 11.<BR/><BR/>Mom eventually split from Dad; my brother moved out; my Dad was on the road a lot; so I was left in charge of the house, my siberian husky, and the family cat.<BR/><BR/>She died the year I turned 30.<BR/><BR/>For days afterwards, I would still "see" her sleeping around the house. To this day, I don't know if my brain "placed" her in the various nooks where I was used to seeing her, or if some part of her spirit, so long a part of the house, simply refused to leave. <BR/><BR/>The images eventually faded, but not my memories of a fine, long term friend.<BR/><BR/>Send my regrets to your friend.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
